Well we’re about two weeks and counting and I’m beginning to feel the stress of all the things I still need to do. Shopping for skirts, a new pair of sandals, a French-English dictionary, and a good quality backpack are all on the agenda for next week. On the bright side I can now officially scratch off create new blog from my to-do list!

For those of you who want to stay updated on this new adventure I think this site will probably be your best bet. I’m going to do my best to update as often as I can (but I don’t know how often that’ll be). For those of you who are a bit old school I do have a snail mail address for the first three months at least, but be warned it’ll take at least a couple of weeks to get to me and versa.

A lot of you have been asking about when I’m officially off, so here’s the 4-1-1. I’m leaving from Norfolk on June 15 for Philly and then I spend two days doing a staging/orientation thing up there. On the 17th I leave Philly for Senegal and then from there I’m off to Mauritania for three months of training!

I’m getting really excited! I joined a facebook group for Peace Corps Volunteers in Mauritania and I’ve had a pretty steady flood of friend requests ever since. Everybody seems really nice and I’m just getting really excited about meeting all theses new people up in Philly.

I think that’s all I have for now!
